Affiliate Advertising is when you sell other company's/Individuals goods or services on your website. For example, if you have a web page about selling mobile phones, you are able to search for affiliate company's that advertise mobile phones and mobile phone plans and sell them on your website as if you were a mobile phone provider. You may have a website such as knitting or cooking. Register with Amazon and sell books relating to your topic on your website, therefore making a commission each time a vistor to your site buys.

Another example of Affiliate advertising is if you have a games website. Develop a link to Ebay and receive a commission for anything purchased off your site.

Once you develop a niche topic for your website, you can research all of the affiliate adverting available.


It is very easy to place advertising banners and links onto your website. Generally you just cut and paste the HTML code onto your site.

  • Search to find which advertisers apply to your topic
  • Apply for that advertising campaign. Some will automatically accept you, and others you will have to apply for.

  • Copy and Paste Code into your website
  • Logon regularly to see if you are getting any clicks on your site
  • Commissions are sent by cheque, deposited into a nominated account or paypal account
